Approval Process
The curriculum approval process starts here with the submission of a curriculum that is ready to go through the approval process
CURRICULUM SUBMISSION PORTAL (Contact the Dean of Academics for password)
After the curriculum has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the Dean of Academics to assure the curriculum has all the needed information and TOCC is able to support the curriculum as it is presented. Once this review is completed, it is sent to the Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee and the Himdag Committee for review. The following should be submitted after their review:
After the Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee has reviewed the curriculum, the chair of the committee should submit their results to

After the Himdag Committee has reviewed the curriculum, the Himdag Committee Chair or a representative to the Himdag Committee (maybe the Dean, faculty, or staff who presented to curriculum to the Himdag Committee) should submit their results to
HIMDAG COMMITTEE CURRICULUM PORTAL
After these two committees have worked with the curriculum developers and have approved the curriculum, the curriculum will be submitted to the President’s Office for the President’s review and review by Leadership and Administration. Once Administration completes their review, the Dean of Academics or Dean of Sustainability submits the results of their review here:
ADMINISTRATION CURRICULUM PORTAL
If the Board of Trustees needs to approve the curriculum (i.e., any curriculum change, addition or modification beyond a single course), a clean copy will be sent to the next Board meeting. Note that new program or certificate recommendations that include 50% or more new content must also be submitted to the Higher Learning Commission for consideration. After all approvals are complete, and the curriculum has been updated in the different management systems, the Dean of Academics or Dean of Sustainability will submit a final copy to
